LOTS OF LORNA NEWS - BACK IN THE STUDIO

After the success of Lorna's gig at the Social (Nottingham) with Six by Seven and with Silverman at the Marrs bar (Worcester), the band enter back into the studio to finish yet more tracks towards their debut album.
The album provisionally titled "I saw you shaking in the light" is now looking like being a double album. A rare move for a bands debut, but one all fans of the Lorna style will fully understand. The new songs are more band orientated with guitarist Chris Moore taking a more influential role in the tracks sound. Look out for more news on the album's progression.

LINE UP CHANGES

There have also been some changes in the Lorna live band format. 2001 see's a sad goodbye to Johnathan Lucas, Gary Parker and Lee Burdus who are set to pursue other musical areas. This sees Pete Morely drop in on drums and Helen Maltby on Viola and Tenor Sax while occasional trumpet player Hilmar Hauer makes a more permanent fixture to the line up. This line up will be performing for their first time late January (see events page).

LORNA RELEASE ON SPANISH LABEL

Lorna track "November kicks again" is set to be released on Spanish/ British label Becalmed Records. This is likely to be a split with Cosmos and out around late spring this year. We'll keep you informed as things progress.
