9th August 2001 update from Intromit Recordings
a new way for a new era - no more mediocrity for the masses
www.intromit.co.uk

Well, some keen eyes among you have noticed that we have been away for a short while. Thanks for the phone calls and e-mails of concern, always appreciated. But we've not been idle.
We've been working on a new project that will allow us to put out more music to a much larger audience, without bands getting lost in the crowds....and so so so much more.
This is a very large project and the test site won't be up and running for about 6 months

Intromit
Where
did
you
go?

and live in 9 months. So unfortunetly no more details for now until we get yet further down the development line, but we can promise you that you will never have seen anything like it. So watch this space, as they say, we're about to fuck with the world at large, but doesn't it so deserve it? We're through asking them to have a quick ethical peak at their doings, from now on they are simply irrelevant. This is our world, it just took us a while to realise it.

SHORTWAVE
& SKINNY
SUMO

So
what
have
we
missed?

Well, we've missed Skinny Sumo winning the National Student Music Award, and quite deservedly too. So big up to the Skinnies. They've also been clocking up a few miles on the gigometer which we've criminally failed to report or notify you of.
Shortwave supported Kat Bjelland's (ex-Babe in Toyland, for all the young un's who never studied recent history ) new guise Katastrophy Wife to the usual great
success. Let's face it, Shortwave are the greatest show on the planet. Which leads us nicely too............................

So if you want to catch both Shortwave and Skinny Sumo live with Earthtone 9, Black Rock, Dai Lo, Manatee, Lorna and DJ sets from Pitchshifters JS Clayden and Echoboy, Richard Warren get down to an all dayer at Rock City, Nottingham, with 3 stages of live music, DJ sets, comedy, and seminars with some old hands this Saturday (11th Aug, 12 noon, £5). Full listings at bottom of this mail.

what little gems you'll find lurking.

We have been absoloutely inundated with demo's and will be bringing you some of the unbelievable finds very shortly. We're trying to get around to replying to them all, but bear with us if we haven't got back to you yet, time is against us. If you do want to send in your demo then the address is below. But please, if your biog lists influences such as Manics, Travis etal, then don't fucking bother. Just pair their albums up with your Genesis records and get out a bit more.
