LORNA - REVIEWS

Album sampler track The CD is sounding BRILLIANT!!! You can tell that the person who 'produced' it..Is the only person that knows how. I love the lyric "It's not where you are, but who you are with"... I love the whole thing actually. I could make loads of comments, and I think Neil (Slowdive) will like it a lot too, especially the slide guitars...
Poppy Gonzalez - Sing Sing (with Emma Anderson of lush game), Ex-Mojave 3 (Slowdive with a different drummer and her)

Absolutely inspired…..We Will Never Grow Old is heartbreaking. This song is a monster. Neil Young begging God for another life, another chance…. A totally alluring, deep wondrous pool inviting you to search beneath the surface, to discover for yourself emotions that many of us spend a life time refuting…. Lorna have bleeding hearts, they wear them on their bloody sleeves.Such innate talent is all too rare and should only be approached by careful listening. Go listen.
Martin Williams (Silverman)

When we stayed awake all night Oh wow... that new 'When we stayed awake' song just blew my mind!!!! The kind of music I dream of making... thank you for sharing!!!!!!! Stunning. Lorna makes you rethink everything you thought about Nottingham. I will never think of Robin Hood again... it's all Lorna. These guys blow my mind. Why does England have all the talent?

96, I'm still reeling from the first time I heard it, and it was playing in my head for the whole weekend - THAT'S how good it was! THIS is how to write a song.

While she sleeps (from and if she comes tonight) I think Lorna are genius, and this is a song that definitely proves it. The first half is a spaced out waltz type thing, it's always reminded me of some velvet morning by slowdive, the chorus anyway. The second half is very beautiful and proof that Mark Rolfe is the new voice in pop music.
